Welcome to ZIRA. We are a spiritual companion app that respects your privacy as much as your inner journey. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
In short: we collect only what is necessary to provide spiritual readings (your name, birth date and place for astrology and numerology) and your conversation history with Zira AI. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not share your data with third parties for marketing.

2.1 Information you provide
- Account information: first name (or chosen name), email address (if you sign in), language preference.
- Spiritual profile: date of birth, time of birth (optional), city of birth. This is required to calculate your astrological chart and numerological profile.
- Conversations with Zira: messages you exchange with our AI assistant, so Zira can remember your context across sessions and offer continuity.
- Token purchases: records of in-app purchases (processed by Google Play Billing — we never see your payment details).
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language settings.
- Usage information: features used, error logs, anonymized analytics to help us improve the app.
- Approximate location: only if you choose to provide your city for astrology calculations. We do not track your GPS location.
2.3 What we DO NOT collect
- We do not collect your GPS location in real time.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- We do not access other apps on your device.
- We do not collect biometric data.
- We do not collect data from users under 18.
3. How we use your data
We use your data only to:
- Generate personalized spiritual readings (tarot, astrology, numerology).
- Enable Zira AI to remember your context and grow with you.
- Process in-app token purchases.
- Improve the app and fix bugs.
- Communicate with you about important updates or support requests.
4. Third-party services
To make ZIRA work, we rely on a few trusted third-party services:
- OpenAI: we send your messages to OpenAI's API to generate Zira's responses. OpenAI does not retain this data for training (we use the API with data retention disabled where applicable). See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing: handles token purchases. We never see your payment details. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Render (server hosting): runs our backend and stores your spiritual profile and conversation history securely. See Render Privacy Policy.
- Pinecone (vector database): stores anonymized embeddings of your conversations to give Zira long-term memory. No personal identifiers are sent. See Pinecone Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or rent your data to any third party.
5. Data storage and security
- Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Render (PostgreSQL database) and Pinecone (vector database for memory).
- All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
- Passwords (if any) are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
- We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
6. How long we keep your data
- Your spiritual profile and conversation history are kept as long as your account is active.
- If you request account deletion, we delete all your personal data within 30 days.
- Anonymous analytics may be kept indefinitely for product improvement.

Wherever you live, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and personal data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Object to certain processing of your data.

ZIRA is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own (notably the United States, where some of our service providers are based). We use standard contractual clauses and other lawful mechanisms to ensure your data is protected when transferred.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
The ZIRA app does not use cookies in the traditional web sense. However, we use device storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in your device settings.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.

Under GDPR, our legal basis for processing your data is:
- Performance of a contract: when you use ZIRA, we process data to provide the service you requested.
- Legitimate interest: for analytics and product improvement (you can object at any time).
